When the Lord closes a door, somewhere he opens a window.
I'm not sure where this originated, but I associate it with the movie The Sound of Music, which I watched over and over as a child and still love today. It came to mind tonight as I was up late with the ray of light shining through that window.
Some readers of this blog may not know that the window opened for us around Memorial Day when we discovered, quite to our surprise, that we were expecting another child. Will's brother Edward Jesse Kenyon was born on Christmas Day. He has brought new light to our lives but also reminds us of all we lost when Will died. This blog is the story of Will's life and ours with him, and now Edward is part of that story as well. We'll be sure he knows all about his brave, strong brother who will always look out for him as he has for us this year.

Hello and CONGRATULATIONS!! My family and I have been following Will's blog ever since we were contacted by John, who happened to come across our son, Samuel's blog back in December. Samuel was also born at 24 weeks gestation. We are so very happy for you and wish you a wonderful new year. We'll keep checking your website. THanks so much for sharing all your struggles and joys over the past year. Thinking of you all and wishing you all the best,
Kirsten, Robert, and Samuel Buck
